Some employer- and government-sponsored health plans offer Group Plan coverage of Outcomes MTM services. Others allow flex dollars to be put toward an individual Consumer Plan. Check with your plan administrator or contact the Outcomes office for more information.

Do I have to buy my prescriptions from my Personal Pharmacist?

The Outcomes MTM program allows members to acquire medications from any pharmacy—even mail order—yet consult with a local Personal Pharmacist whenever needed. Members are encouraged to keep their Personal Pharmacist aware of all their medications.

Are MTM services covered by Medicare?

Some Medicare plans cover Outcomes MTM services at no additional cost. However, most require individuals to purchase a separate Consumer Plan to receive coverage. Check with your plan administrator or contact the Outcomes office.

Are all pharmacies included in the Personal Pharmacist network?

Typically, not all pharmacists in a geographic area are Personal Pharmacists. Personal Pharmacists complete special training to provide MTM services. This course is open to any willing pharmacist.

Don’t most pharmacists provide MTM services even without coverage?

Unfortunately, most drug cards address only the cost of the medication and do not cover the cost of MTM services. While many pharmacists do as much as they can within the time allotted to filling a prescription, most cannot consistently provide MTM services free-of-charge. Through Outcomes, extra attention can be dedicated to your personal medication needs.
