Tom Halterman, BPharm, Chief Executive Officer

Tom Halterman is a co-founder and equity partner in the company. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and has served as President of the College's Alumni Advisory Board. Halterman is a past President of the Central Iowa Pharmacists Association, winner of the Iowa Pharmacists Association's Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year award, and was tabbed by the Des Moines Business Record as one of central Iowa's top 40 business leaders under the age of 40 in 2001.

Patty Kumbera, BPharm, Chief Operating Officer

Patty Kumbera is a co-founder and equity partner in the company. She is a graduate of the Drake University College of Pharmacy and has been appointed to the Drake Alumni Board Executive Committee. Kumbera serves on the Pharmacy Services Technical Advisory Panel addressing HIPAA and pharmacist professional services. She is a frequent speaker at national programs and has been named one of American Druggist's 50 Most Influential Pharmacists.

Joel V. Brill, MD, Medical Director

Joel Brill provides managed health care expertise to assist Outcomes in the development of MTM program offerings in areas such as consumer driven health care, pay-for-performance, disease management, and other areas. He is well respected nationally for his expertise in health care areas including coding and reimbursement methodologies, quality improvement, disease management and pharmaceutical analysis.

Brand Newland, PharmD, Vice President

Brand Newland has extensive experience in MTM program operations, serving as the lead pharmacist for numerous Medicare Part D and employer-sponsored MTM program launches. Dr. Newland has lead the clinical protocol development team for Outcomes' targeted intervention program "TIP" focusing upon cost efficacy management, discontinuation of potentially-inappropriate medications in the elderly, non-compliance, therapeutic duplication, and adherence to current disease state guidelines.

Cynthia Northway, BScience, Vice President

Cynthia Northway is a senior member of Outcomes’ operational team, having started with the company in 2000. Northway has successfully administered numerous large MTM program accounts with expertise in project management, client support and database management.

Jen James, PharmD, Director of Provider Services

Jen James focuses on MTM service implementation. Her consulting includes training, workflow, documentation, billing and sustainable business models. Dr. James earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency with Emphasis in Community Care at the University of Iowa / Osterhaus Pharmacy. While Assistant Clinical Professor for University of Connecticut and University of Maryland, she implemented and published about innovative services in community practice. Dr. James has been recognized by the Connecticut Pharmacists Association as Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year.
